Sustainability at TOHO

Chibi Godzilla

This whole world runs on four key themes. Let’s start the tour!

  • Explore Vivacity
  • Explore Modesty
  • Explore Fairness
  • Explore Grace

Vivacity

Three heads, three personalities. So, naturally, diversity is our job. Trust us, you’re in good claws.

Our people, engagement, wellbeing, DEI, and workstyle

A healthy workplace comes from people who feel valued for what they create. We want everyone, whatever their background, to be themselves, realize their full potential, and truly enjoy their work. That kind of energy helps the whole company come alive and drives the most compelling entertainment.

Modesty

Where the air is clean and the earth is green, that’s home to me! Looking after the natural world is a joy I’m glad to carry.

Climate change, environmental management

We’re cutting carbon emissions by moving our buildings onto renewable power, switching cinema lighting to LED, and bringing solar and hydrogen energy to TOHO Studios.

Initiatives

Fairness

New friends are always welcome here, and I make sure there’s room for every single one! Human rights and fairness are my job.

Respect for human rights, accessibility, and inclusivity

Great entertainment needs a fair, responsible culture behind it: creators free to do their boldest work, audiences who feel genuinely welcome. TOHO respects human rights without exception, and we hold ourselves to a corporate culture that is worth trusting and open to everyone.

Grace

I’m still little, so I get to go on brand‑new adventures with my friends!

Giving children formative cultural experiences, nurturing creators, preserving and passing on creative works

Film and theater are art, and art should be preserved for generations ahead. That work is one of TOHO’s most important missions. We give children their first real encounters with the arts and support the creators who will shape what comes next, growing both the audiences and the talent of the future.

Initiatives

Growing the next generation of creators
